Was the Phlebotomy class fun? I thought about it taking a course, but you never see any guys going for Phlebotomy. Work at the hospital or the blood bank. My sister works at the blood bank, she loves the people. Pay is not the greatest. Hospital she works at (Phlebotomy) pays good money. That is why she has 2 jobs.

These are some awesome tips! I did the exact same thing and made all As in nursing school. When it came to taking the NCLEX....it was a breeze because of all the years of prep and extra studying that I did. And it also made it easy to get into grad schools. I LOVE BEING AN R.N.! Flash cards saved my life!! Pharmacology is one of the most difficult classes in my nursing program, and I got an A in it this past semester. MAKE FLASH CARDS!!! hey there, if your patient can move their arms, have them hold on to one side of the rails and then you can put pillows and stuff underneath the other side, then tell them to let go........if your patient is total care and they cannot grab onto the rails, you need another person to help you, ask a CNA and you guys do it together.

Im currently in the RN program and I agree with everything you have said. Note cards do nothing for me and neither do study groups. And with the talking to yourself part I definately do that. One time i was taking an exam and I was talking through my mind remembering how i associated that part of the exam while studying and my teacher thought I was crazy!

I'm in level 1 right now and I'd some classmates who made false accusations about my skills to my insturctor..that gave me and academic warning! I was so upset..but i just have to deal with it and prove to my instructor that i am capable! sometimes i feel like giving up.. but i've realized that i worked so far to get into level 1.omg i'm taking pharm with level one..it's so hard!

I love helping people and right now I'm working in a group home w/ people who have MR (i hate calling it mental retardation, but that's what our company calls it) and autism. every nursing school is different in regards to their entrance requirements. In my research most schools require a 3.0 and above but because of the limited seats only the high 3's and 4.0s might get in. Some schools have a direct entry admissions which enables you to be a nursing major as soon as you apply and you are accepted. That is usually the private schools.

hello! just wanted to say thanks for watching my video! to answer your question, my gpa was actually like a 3.0 when I applied to my private school, but they didn't even look at it. I think private schools don't look at your GPA to be honest with you (at least in CA), but I could be wrong. And I apologize but I don't understand your last question if it were right out of high school? But if you're asking whether my 3.0 GPA was right out of high school, no it wasn't. =) Hope that helped!

Try not to beat yourself up too much if you get a C in a class. Just work hard, pray hard, and make friends, also, clinicals may suck, but try to find atleast 1 thing from each clinical that you enjoyed. have fun, learn lots, God bless.

Nice video! I went through all the same processes and steps that you mentioned here. Next week I'll start my last semester (consolidation) in hospital and I'll be a real nurse within half year. Even though Nursing is tough but I really love my job. Highly recommend to everyone who is interested getting into the program!
